Skin needling — also known as Collagen Induction Therapy — is one of the most effective, minimally invasive treatments for improving skin texture, tone, and overall quality. At HBL, our nurse-led approach ensures every treatment is clinically safe, deeply personalised, and focused on building long-term skin confidence.
By creating tiny micro-channels in the skin, this treatment naturally stimulates collagen production — helping to soften fine lines, minimise pores, refine scars, and restore a healthy, radiant glow. Whether you’re looking to improve specific concerns or simply strengthen and maintain your skin over time, skin needling is a trusted, evidence-based solution that works with your body — not against it.

FAQs
Does skin needling hurt?
Most clients describe it as a mild prickling or scratching sensation. At HBL, we apply a medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the treatment. However if you can handle the mild pain, we recommend skipping the numbing cream especially if a topical add-on is being used for best results.
How much downtime is there?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience mild redness (like a sunburn), slight sensitivity, or light flaking for 24–48 hours. Most clients resume normal activities within a day or two, avoiding active skincare or makeup for the first 24 hours.
How many sessions will I need?
We usually recommend a series of 3–6 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, for best results. However, your plan will be tailored based on your skin condition and goals.
Can I wear makeup after skin needling?
It’s best to avoid makeup and active ingredients for the first 48-72 hours to allow your skin to heal and prevent irritation. After that, you can resume your usual routine using clean brushes and non-comedogenic products.
Is skin needling safe for darker skin tones?
Yes — skin needling is safe for all skin types and tones when performed by trained professionals. It does not involve heat or aggressive resurfacing, making it a great option for melanin-rich skin.
Can skin needling help with acne scars?
Yes, skin needling can help improve the appearance of mild to moderate acne scarring over time by encouraging collagen regeneration and improving skin texture.
