Skin Needling

Skin needling — also known as Collagen Induction Therapy — is one of the most effective, minimally invasive treatments for improving skin texture, tone, and overall quality. At HBL, our nurse-led approach ensures every treatment is clinically safe, deeply personalised, and focused on building long-term skin confidence.

By creating tiny micro-channels in the skin, this treatment naturally stimulates collagen production — helping to soften fine lines, minimise pores, refine scars, and restore a healthy, radiant glow. Whether you’re looking to improve specific concerns or simply strengthen and maintain your skin over time, skin needling is a trusted, evidence-based solution that works with your body — not against it.

  • What is skin needling?

Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a clinical treatment that uses tiny micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin — stimulating natural collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, healthier skin.

  • How does it work?

A precision device is used to create micro-channels in the skin, triggering the skin’s natural healing process. This boosts collagen, improves texture, and enhances overall skin resilience — with minimal downtime.

  • WHO IS IT FOR?

Skin Needling is suitable for most skin types and is ideal for anyone experiencing uneven skin texture, early fine lines, enlarged pores, mild scarring, or dullness. It’s also a great choice for preventative skin ageing.

  • ARE THERE ADD-ONS?

Yes! You can boost your results with medical-grade add-ons like:

Optional serums can be applied during or after your skin needling session to support hydration, comfort, and overall skin quality. Your treating nurse will guide you in selecting the most suitable option based on your skin type and treatment plan.

Topical Enhancements – Optional Add-Ons to Skin Needling

These serums are applied during or after your skin needling session to complement the treatment experience. Each option is selected based on your skin goals, current condition, and recovery preferences. While results vary, many clients enjoy the added hydration and post-care support these serums offer.

    Exosomes

    • Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles produced in the lab through advanced cosmetic biotechnology. These high-performance formulations contain peptides and growth-factor-like signalling molecules, designed to enhance the overall post-treatment experience. When applied topically during or after skin needling, they may support general skin comfort and help create an ideal environment for your skin’s recovery process. Exosome-enhanced sessions are often chosen by clients seeking premium support for skin quality and appearance after treatment.

FAQs

Most clients describe it as a mild prickling or scratching sensation. At HBL, we apply a medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the treatment. However if you can handle the mild pain, we recommend skipping the numbing cream especially if a topical add-on is being used for best results.

Downtime is minimal. You may experience mild redness (like a sunburn), slight sensitivity, or light flaking for 24–48 hours. Most clients resume normal activities within a day or two, avoiding active skincare or makeup for the first 24 hours.

We usually recommend a series of 3–6 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, for best results. However, your plan will be tailored based on your skin condition and goals.

It’s best to avoid makeup and active ingredients for the first 48-72 hours to allow your skin to heal and prevent irritation. After that, you can resume your usual routine using clean brushes and non-comedogenic products.
